India during a special round of talks has strongly condemned the recent airspace incursions and breach of confidence-building measures by China.
The air forces of both the countries held maiden talks in Ladakh as LAC tension rises, while their troops and heavy artillery have been stationed near the border in east Ladakh since May 2020.
Indian military delegation led by Major General raised the need to curb the vexing behavior of Chinese fighters, flying extremely closer to a friction point, amid the meeting with his People’s Liberation Army aide at the Chushul-Moldo border meeting point in eastern Ladakh, sources said.
An Air Commodore from the Indian Air Force’s operations section was notably included in the Indian mission to address the “heightened Chinese air activity” in the region since June when Chinese jets often breached the 10-kilometer no-fly zone CBM along the LAC.
Amid Nancy Pelosi’s visit to Taiwan, China is also indulging in provocative behavior in the Taiwan Strait, with multiple live-firing of missiles in the area encircling Taiwan and its fighters crossing the “median line.”
There have been at least two confirmed incidents where fighter planes flew extremely closer to a friction point at 4 a.m. in late June. The aircraft was instantly detected by the IAF’s array of radars and anti-aircraft systems, which initiated tactical action.
