Home Minister Amit Shah appealed for 15 days of peace in Manipur to find solutions to the ongoing crisis.

HM Shah made the appeal in a tweet, saying that the government is committed to finding a peaceful solution to the crisis.

Union Home Minister Amit Shah on Monday urged groups in Manipur to keep the peace for 15 days and hold talks with the government.

HM Shah made the appeal during a meeting with representatives of various militant groups in Imphal. He said that the government is committed to resolving the issues of the people of Manipur through dialogue.

“I appeal to all the militant groups to keep the peace for 15 days and hold talks with the government. The government is committed to resolving the issues of the people of Manipur through dialogue,” Shah said.

He also said that the government is ready to provide all possible assistance to the people of Manipur.

The meeting was attended by representatives of the United National Liberation Front of Manipur (UNLFM), the People’s Liberation Army of Manipur (PLA), the Kanglei Yawol Kanna Lup (KYKL), and the Kuki National Organization (KNO).

The militant groups have been demanding a separate state for Manipur. They have also been demanding the release of their jailed leaders.

The government has said that it is willing to discuss all issues with the militant groups, but it will not compromise on the sovereignty and integrity of India.

The meeting comes at a time when there is a renewed focus on resolving the insurgency in Manipur. The government has recently appointed a new interlocutor for the talks with the militant groups.

Shah’s appeal is seen as a sign of the government’s willingness to reach out to the militant groups. It remains to be seen whether the groups will respond positively to the appeal.
